Aviation Accident Reports

The United States government regulates all civilian air travel in the country through the Federal Aviation Administration. Although most flights take off and land without incident, unfortunately the number of fights that suffer serious mishaps continues to rise almost every year.

When an accident or mishap occurs the FAA, sometimes in conjunction with other government investigative agencies, makes a record of the incident for public access. It does this to provide proof of objective and impartial investigation.

The FAA also keeps a running record of the types of airlines, types of aircraft, location, and number of casualties of aviation accidents from around the world. For more information on aviation accident reports, go to http://www.faa.gov/data_statistics/accident_incident/
